My GingerNotes journey has seeded into another wonderful opportunity within the health & wellness industry. A new & exciting collaboration with Georgina Webster, owner & manager of Etain Skin Clinic & Hair Salon located in Inglewood, WA.
The Etain experience is undergoing an holistic wellness reform, now offering a unique selection of exclusive nutrition & wellness workshops including the all natural product line, The Beauty Chef.
We have just launched our first Skin Healing Nutrition Workshop, combing my nutrition expertise & the beneficial ingredients from The Beauty Chef ‘Glow & Cleanse’ product range. It was a really motivating evening and the feedback from the lovely ladies who attended found the content very informative and a valuable addition to their current skin regime.
The Skin Healing Workshop Content-
- Hormonal Acne & Dietary Triggers
- Detoxification & Dietary Toxin Overload
- The Skin & Gut Relationship
It is so important we understand what may be our dietary triggers to drive the characteristics of problematic skin, in order to create a cleansing plan to improve skin complexion & repair flared & inflamed areas. There is a strong correlation between the balance of the intestinal flora (micro-organisms) and our overall health & wellbeing. The Skin-Gut relationship is positively progressing within nutritional epidemiology, probiotic therapy a recommended method to restore the microbiota gut colony and improve clinical aspects of problematic skin conditions such as acne.
If this is an area you would like to understand more and begin a personalised cleansing plan to heal any concerned areas with your gut or skin condition, send me an email for enquiries about my private Nutritional Consulting.
Alongside Georgina’s nutritive samples of the delicious Chia Glow Puddings, antioxidant hydrators & fruit n’ veggie platters, we finished the evening off with a simple & easy to prepare therapeutic Skin Food Sorbet to complement the workshop content.
The guests were gifted with an Etain product sampler goodie bag plus a box of one of my favourite company’s Organic Pukka Cleanse Tea to complement our detoxification processes.
Skin Food Sorbet Recipe
- ½ grapefruit, juiced
- 1 large chopped banana, frozen
- ½ cup coconut milk (I use one that has 53% coconut)
- 2 tsp of Cleanse powder
- 2 tsp Glow powder
- ¼ cup ice
Blend all ingredients together to form a sorbet consistency.
Enjoy the refreshing sweetness of the functional and nutritive ingredients to support your skin rejuvenation & composition.
The grapefruit is not only a Low GI fruit but also part of the citrus family to facilitate the detoxification process, boost lymphatic circulation, alkalising an overly acidic gut and contains antioxidant compounds.
Chia Glow Pudding Recipe
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1 cup frozen raspberries/strawberries
- ¼ cup chia seeds
- 1 Tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tsp Glow powder
Blend all ingredients (except the chia seeds) until smooth.
Stir in the chia seeds until well combined.
Spoon mixture into 2 glasses and chill in the refrigerator covered until set (approx. 4 hours).
Enjoy topped with some almonds or coconut chips if desired.
Coconut milk provides a healthy source of essential fats, the building blocks to a functional skin cell membrane, also a wonderful alternative to dairy proven to be positively associated with the causal factors of problematic skin conditions such as acne.
Georgina & I are very excited to continue to offer an integrative & inspiring workshop series to complement The Etain Skin Hair Salon. We both aspire to educate expert advice & support throughout the community to improve overall health & wellbeing.
