A big lesson in life for me, was to understand the value of my ‘Self Worth’ or ‘Self-Esteem’. Once I was able to see through the haze and respect who I was and what I am worth, it has gifted me the ability to step outside of my save zone and begin to make dreams become a reality. When you begin to judge or think critically about yourself or others, problems in some form will tend to follow you and instead of reaching for the stars you enter a dark place blocking your opportunities from success or being an inspiration to yourself and others.

I longed for It, when life was loud and busy and I promise you, once you reach this point in your life when days shed clarity not doubt, life brings happiness not stress, dreams happen.
My 3 Simple Steps to Improve Self Worth
1. Redirect Negative Traffic
Low self-esteem is defined to have negative overall opinion of you, judging or evaluating yourself negatively, and a general negative value on yourself as a person.
When these thoughts flow into your mind, you need to tap into your thought process and try to perceive these thoughts in a more constructive and positive light. When you have the ability to do this you begin a path of motivation and positive insight to oneself allowing you to access a world of possibilities. This could happen only once a week or it could happen 5 times a day…just use the power of control and flip it into something worthy. Example…
Negative: Why do I still get pimples in my late twenties and why are my JEANS not fitting anymore..ahhh!
Redirect: Today I am going to start daily green smoothies with heaps of nutritious veggies and nuts with Vitamin E to improve my inner gut health, complexion & feel good. That farmers market has great produce I will get dressed up and go there today.
2. Accepting Yourself
A good way to accept who you are and what your value on earth will bring is to Write it Down. Get yourself a journal or nice funky note pad and pens and start write a few questions in bubbles. Once you have the answers, read through and notice you are blessed with Abilities, Purpose and Direction in areas you can continue to flourish, don’t try live through somebody else allow them to inspire you to get to your place of acceptance.
The objective is to get realisation that wanting to be somebody else is not YOU and where you can be most inspirational and balanced is what you surface inside of these bubbles. Example…
- How might someone who cares about you describe you? Ask them directly & note it down.
- What positive characteristics do you have? What are some challenges you have experienced & overcome?
- What are some of your achievements so far?
- List attributes you like in others that you also have in common or relate with?
3. Invest in Health
As a Nutritionist, you could say I payed a lot of money studying to understand the science of the body and how to fuel myself correctly to live a healthier balanced lifestyle. It doesn’t stop there, I have made many health investments so far including gym memberships, health professionals including naturopaths and acupuncture, eating organic local consumables, nutrient dense ‘superfoods’ and good kitchen appliances all for my Health.
There are no regrets in feeling good about investing into what is most important here, enabling you to mentally & physically excel in life and redirect negative traffic. It is something for You that you’ll embrace to nurture yourself, there is no negative thoughts invited to your wellness journey because all heath investments are a positive step forward to Loving Yourself.
